Internal B2B ordering system for a cold cuts distributor in the German market

An ordering system was created for a meat and cold cuts company serving B2B customers in the German market. The project required the full digitalization of the ordering process, integration with the internal logistics system, and the creation of a stable platform operating 24/7.

Project Description

I designed and implemented a complete system in which users log into individual accounts and place orders from a user-friendly dashboard. Order data is automatically processed and transferred to the company’s logistics systems, where picking, transport, and supply processes are initiated.

The entire system was built on WordPress and WooCommerce, and I created the ETL, data exchange, and integration logic using proprietary PHP plugins tailored to the client’s specific requirements.

Scope of work:

  • Design of the B2B ordering system architecture.
  • Login of B2B customers to dedicated accounts with appropriate permissions.
  • Customization of WooCommerce to meet the requirements of the food and logistics industries.
  • Proprietary ETL plugins for order processing, statuses, products, and logistics data.
  • Integration with the company’s internal system (supply, logistics, picking).
  • Customer dashboard with order history, products, prices, statuses, and notifications.
  • Optimized system speed, stability, and security (WordPress + PHP + MySQL).
  • A clean frontend based on HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, and JavaScript.
  • Configuration and optimization of the server environment.
